Let’s face it, Pelayo Diaz really can do no wrong. Especially when it comes to footwear!…Lately I’ve been loving how he’s been sporting sandals in his OOTD’s which totally inspired me to start a collection of my own. At the moment my favourite pair is from Aldo because they’re beyond comfy and the black and white detailing pairs super well with my current spring/summer wardrobe.
I love wearing classic cardigans as transitional pieces during spring and early fall. At the moment my favourite is from Oak + Fort because the fit is incredible and the material is light and breathable. Another classic piece that I’ve been adoring lately is this bright orange Hermès Evelyne bag. It holds my daily essentials (and more) but it also allows me to go hands-free and take plenty of photos for Instagram with my Samsung smartphone!
Most of the clothes I’m loving lately are bold, bright and essentially the complete opposite of the all-black pieces I often sported throughout fall and winter. From neutral t-shirts and long sleeves (often striped) to these raspberry red pants from Zara, I can’t seem to give up incorporating more colour into my wardrobe.
Because I’ve been wearing so much white lately, I decided to darken things up and sport my favourite t-shirt from Zadig and Voltaire, a pair of Acne Studios jeans and black Vans. What I love most about this t-shirt is the bold pop of colour on the back and the semi-distressed detailing on the neck, arms and around the bottom of the shirt. It’s casual and comfy, yet has an unexpected edginess from the vampire graphic that I fell in love with the moment I saw it.
On March 28, 2015, I uploaded a post featuring a few of my favourite street style photos from Seoul Fashion Week. In that post, I mentioned that South Korean and Asian fashion in general should be showcased and given far more credit than its gotten in the past…Fast forward a month or so and tada! Karl Lagerfeld showcased Chanel’s Cruise 2016 collection in Seoul, South Korea with quite the influence from traditional Korean clothing.
Now that summer vacation is in full swing, I’m super excited that I can leave my laptop, binder and heavy textbooks at home and carry this Saint Laurent tote filled with my everyday essentials…Not only is it the perfect size, but the silhouette makes it so easy to wear with almost any look.
This coming Monday I’m jetting off to Banff, Alberta for the summer to hang out with my friends and family and of course, post endless amounts of exciting posts for you on the blog! Having said this, today I thought I would show you a few of essential products and items that I like to carry with me for both short and long-haul flights.
The past few days in Toronto have been absolutely miserable. Rain everyday, gloomy awful weather and wind that seriously made me feel like I was caught in a bloody tornado (I’m not kidding friends!). Although on the bright side of the rain, I was finally able to pull out my ombre K-Way rain jacket that I’ve completely fallen in love with. Not only because of its practicality but also because of its overall aesthetic…Hence why I decided to feature it in today’s OOTD!
A few weeks ago I received a little package in the mail from Socks by William and of course I was beyond excited. Not only because I’m a total undercover sock hoarder but also because the print on this pair is unique and downright awesome. From the time I first slipped them on, I knew they’d become a staple in my wardrobe so I thought I would introduce you to one of my latest fashion favourites.
After a long day of working on assignments, going for a little walk by the lake was essential! The weather was absolutely beautiful so I thought I would kill two birds with one stone and shoot a casual, homework day OOTD. Aside from wishing my assignments would write themselves (hang in there fellow students), today I’m dreaming of Paris. I mentioned in my “#OOTD | Spring Has Sprung” post that I wanted to start incorporating more colour, prints and patterns into my wardrobe so here’s another attempt using this graphic t from H&M.
When I started blogging just over a year ago, I had zero expectations and absolutely no idea what the future had in store. As sad as it sounds, time went on and I started treating Global Garçon like my little digital “baby”. Not only has it become my creative space, but it’s become an awesome tool to stay connected with over 1,300 of you from all over the world. The saying “you live and learn” definitely applies to my journey so far, so in today’s post I thought I would share the top five things I’ve learned from blogging.
